sometimes i just really need to be alone. not for long, just a couple hours here and there. these moments aren’t often but they’re my room to breathe. don’t get me wrong, i love my kiddos more than anything but attached parenting, nursing on demand, co-sleeping, snack making, meal making, baby wearing, life planning, cleaning, laundering, dish washing, toy picking upping, bill paying, diaper changing…the list goes on, never ends in fact. i wouldn’t change it for the world, i really wouldn’t, i’m so grateful i have the choice to be a stay at home mom but everyone needs to breathe now and again. for me sometimes it’s a bath, sometimes it’s (as lame as this sounds) cleaning while jamie takes the kids to the movies or a park. sometimes it’s netflix. and sometimes, sometimes it’s a trip alone into the forest. here’s is a little bit of my alone time. but i wasn’t really alone, i had my camera with me and i met some friends along the way… ^^^not human friends, deer friends! i’ll always remember this phrase i read somewhere once ‘treat yourself like a precious object’. i think it’s really important to take time for ourselves whether it’s a creative outlet, getting out into nature, or downtime. how do you take time for yourself?
